The Year of the Horse is Proving to Be True to It's Name

The Year of the Horse portends a tumultuous year where nothing is quite what it seems, and nothing is easy. I witness this first-hand in my attempts to prepare for the photo show I signed up for 3 years ago. Not only did I have issues with my reliable trustworthy old Canon printer, but file formats needed to be adapted, a new printer needed to be returned, my credit card company cancelled the order on my last printer because they thought it was "suspicious", my husband was away when I needed him to help me hang my show, the suction cup holder for my GPS failed on the day of the hanging so I had to resort to duct-taping it to the windshield, plus a Nor'easter was passing through. Not many people attended my show but I did make a few contacts who might prove valuable in the future.

Now my son and husband are slated to do Webelos overnight camping tomorrow and a polar vortex has descended on us. Plus my husband is still in Boston but promises to make it back in time. And my dryer quit yesterday, leaving me to drape my towels by the wood stove and hang the rest of the laundry outside under the falling autumn leaves. There's a 30% chance of rain by 7 pm, so after I bring my son back from Kung Fu, I have to remember to retrieve the still-damp clothes. A repair man is scheduled to come by tomorrow between 11 and 1 pm so my workout is going to be super-abbreviated. Today's workout was kind of short as well, because I have so many things to do. Hauled in firewood for tonight, got a small amount of essential laundry done, have to pick my son up from school for early kung fu class, and then attend a cub scout meeting with him just a few hours later. But I still worked out today and logged in nearly 6 miles. Wahoo!

Still Got DOMS

I'll admit that I'm a bit surprised to still be experiencing DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) a day after a set of Walking Lunge...
