My hubs got home later that day and by the next day, had it 90% filled with almost half the garage. Impressive. It was still blistering hot and since thunderstorms were in the forecast for Sunday, the bulk of the clean out was done on Saturday. And the sunflower finally opened all its petals and is lovely. But the dogs say it's much, much too hot. I agree.
I got to the gym much later than usual, resulting in a super abbreviated workout. I cut cardio down to 20 minutes (plus 5 minutes for cool down), did a set of pull-ups and most of the core routine. Of course, there's a Senior class today so I've commandeered a mat in the "functional gym" area. The gym isn't crowded. There's a lot of traffic on the local roads.I'm still late to pick up my kid from work but we agreed to meet at the grocery because I needed a few items at home. There's also a last orthodontist appointment where the aligner brackets get removed and my kid only has to wear an overnight retainer now. There's still a few items I want to put into the dumpster, but I need help lifting it over my head and into the roll-off. My kid is working 4 out of 5 days this week. Maybe on that day off? The hubs is out of town again for work. Maybe temps will drop? The sky is clear and temps are blistering, and I can definitely smell smoke from the Canadian wildfires... The town cancelled camp today due to the poor air quality. Ah, summer.
