After about a week of rain, the skies cleared for two really nice days. Now it's overcast again and there's another storm in the forecast. I walked the dogs and then put them in the car when I drove my kid to the job that started at 7:45 this morning. The dogs were okay going to the store, but waiting for the assistant manager, who was running a bit late due to traffic, absolutely made them bonkers. I wasn't going to leave my kid standing in front until I was sure that everything was good. The drive to the park was hectic. Thank goodness I have my dogs tethered to the back seat belt, otherwise they'd be jumping on my head, in my lap and generally interfering with the operation of a motor vehicle.
We'd been at the park for a boring hour and were about to leave when a new, extremely hyper pup showed up that my dogs like enough to play with for a little while. By 9:30 we were all ready to leave. By the time I got dogs fed and my gear bag packed, it was past 11. I have to pack the night before if I want to make better time! Which means I really only had an hour at the gym before needed to rush out to pick my kid up. The shift ends at 1:00 although it's been so busy that it doesn't really end until 10 min past.
The gym was fairly empty and I got on my favorite elliptical. I felt really tired and wondered if it was the potassium gluconate I've been taking on days I don't eat a banana. I'll have to pay more attention! I can correlate drinking black cherry juice with better dreams though. The chamomile teas, melatonin tablets and magnesium glycinate don't seem to promote restful sleep in my case, and lately I've been waking up stressed. Except the mornings where I had about 6 oz of black cherry juice before bed. And I like the way it tastes... kind of like flat Dr. Pepper. Or a less sweet prune juice. Not a crowd-pleaser for sure.
